The Film and Television Industry is celebrated in our society. This industry tells the stories that reflect the world we live in. Each story is a project that requires careful planning, funding, and execution. Some of these projects are relatively small and some of the blockbusters are enormous enterprises requiring formidable management skill and hundreds of millions of dollars.
But how do you balance the creativity that is essential in the story telling process with the business reality of producing a product within a defined timeframe and budget?
Our speaker, Tug Yourgrau, is President of Powderhouse Productions. Powderhouse Productions is a very successful film and television production company right here in Somerville. He and his partner have built a formidable storytelling engine that has produced notable programs like "Build It Bigger", "Raising Cain", and "Extreme Engineering" just to name a few.
