Tuesday, October 7, 2008, 6:00pm - 9:00pm
The Health 2.0 Northeast forum brings together entrepreneurs, investors, technologists, health care professionals, insurers and others interested in the emerging Health 2.0 sector throughout the Northeast to discuss, brainstorm, and act on developing the emerging convergence of health care and social networking.
Over the last year, there has been a tremendous amount of buzz about the emergence of Health 2.0 companies positioned to revolutionize healthcare by providing services directly to providers and consumers through the use of the Internet and digital media.
Boston has now become a Mecca for the Health 2.0 with large players such as Google Health and Microsoft recently entering partnerships with some of our leading hospital and companies.
New England is clearly positioned to remain a leader in this arena. Come hear representatives from some of the leading e-health companies share their stories, comment on their successes and failures and evaluate where the industry stands today.
This event will ask the key question of the day which is no longer “What is Health 2.0” but rather “Where are we now?”Some questions that will be addressed: How do we get to ROI? (Are we there yet?) How is Health 2.0 empowering consumerism? Is Health 2.0 going to significantly impact the US healthcare crisis? What do we need to due to cross the chasm to truly contain costs and improve quality and what is the potential role of Health 2.0? How do we get there?”
