The October SPC program kicks off our interactive series. We are spending the balance of the year on the critical skills and business structures that will accelerate the growth of your business. The subject of the first workshop in the series is Niche Marketing and the objective is for each person who attends to define a powerful niche that will allow their business to shine.

In this workshop:

• You will hear from experts on niche marketing
• Work in small groups to define your special niche
• Benefit from expert critiques of the niches proposed
• Get suggestions on how to use your niches to improve your business

We are pleased to announce our faculty for the event.

Harvey Wigder: facilitator. Harvey is former SPC President and Programming Chair. In the last year, has changed the name of his company to Fulcrum Executive Search. His niche and expertise has become increasingly specific. Fulcrum specializes in finding executives for private and family businesses; as part of their proprietary process they work the hiring organization for a full year after the placement to ensure success and back that commitment with a full one year guarantee. Michael Katz: expert. As Founder and Chief Penguin of Blue Penguin Development, Inc., Michael is a recognized expert in the development of electronic newsletters for professional service companies. He is the author of three books, and has published over 200 issues of his "E-Newsletter on E-Newsletters," a biweekly with 6,000 passionate subscribers in over 40 countries around the world. Since launching Blue Penguin in 2000, Michael has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Business Week Online, Bloomberg TV, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald and other national and local media. Michael has an MBA from Boston University and a BA in Psychology from McGill University in Montreal.

Lisa Maini: expert. Lisa is principal of myMarketingManager (mMM), a full service marketing outsourcing firm for start-ups and small to mid-sized companies. Lisa helps CEOs and Marketing Directors develop cost effective, multi-level marketing strategies that are customized to help clients achieve their business goals. Lisa has over 25 years of marketing experience for financial services, high tech and management consulting firms. Lisa received a M.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD; and B.A. with Honors from McGill University, Montreal, PQ.
