Reaching Out to Global Audiences
from Yankee Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators
This event has passed.
Monday, October 20, 2008, 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Is there an organization today that has not been swept up by the effects of globalization? More and more communication professionals must be able to reach out to employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders across the globe.

What are the key dimensions of intercultural communication? What have we learned about communicating effectively with audiences in different cultural settings? And how have communication practitioners addressed the challenges?

These questions and more will be discussed at a special program on intercultural communication. Professor Thomas Nakayama will set the stage by discussing the dimensions and context of intercultural communication. His presentation will be followed by an interactive panel of communication practitioners who will share their perspectives and experiences.
