In today's environment companies in the Life Science arena are employing more and more contract partners to meet their business needs. The necessity of doing this comes from many different directions. The gambit spans from Life Science companies that are totally virtual to large Pharma companies that are outsourcing an ever increasing number of business processes that are not their core competency. All of this leads to numerous sources of disjointed data that needs to be compiled into homogeneous information that business managers can utilize to make informed business decisions.

Speaker: John Postle, Vice President, Enterprise Life Sciences, Court Square Group

Data Migration of clinical and post market study data is an ongoing issue as companies consolidate studies and data from diverse sources into data warehouses and other centralized data stores. This session will discuss some of the strategies for identifying and analyzing data sources, dealing with data mapping and transformation issues, and validation methodologies. Case studies will be reviewed that cover some common data migration scenarios. A Question and Answer session at the end of the session will allow attendees to ask for advice on specific scenarios relevant to their company's migration needs.
